Okapi tours and travel company is a successful, and reputable safari and tour company operated by Emmanuel Munganga Rufubya and Kakesa Bosco employing a team of professional tour guides in Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Uganda, Burundi, Tanzania and Kenya.

Emmamuel was born at Goma, DR Congo. He studied tourism in Dr Congo,Goma at IST(Institut suprerier du tourisme) Goma from 2003 to 2006. He pursued a degree in Tourism as a professional Tour leader. From 2007 he and Kakesa Bosco started Okapi tours and travel company, that is still operating upto now.

Bosco who is a sucessful businessman in East Africa, he was born in Goma DRCongo, he was interested in tourism from an early age. He studied this career at Kenya Utalii College in Nairobi Kenya.

Emmnauel and Bosco are citizens of the Great Lakes Region of Africa being born from Dr Congo, Goma town. A growing number of adventure tourists began arriving in Goma from 2007 hoping to explore the wildlife especially within and the stunning landscapes around and Nyiragongo Volcanic mountain and also the very majestic Virunga national park.

As their reputation grew among tourists and journalists who had began to search for this company, Emmnuel and Bosco created an association bringing together local tour guides, fixers and a range of service providers, and finally establishing the first tour company operating in DRCongo, Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.
